Top Accessories You Should Buy for Your Tata Harrier EV

The Tata Harrier EV has firmly established itself as one of the most exciting electric SUVs in India right now. Launched on June 3, 2025, it is sold across trims — Adventure, Fearless Plus, and Empowered — priced between Rs 21.49 lakh and Rs 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom). Whether you just drove one home or are about to, the next logical step is making it truly yours. Tata Motors offers a solid lineup of official accessories, and the aftermarket has caught up fast. Here's a no-fluff guide to the accessories actually worth spending on.

A Quick Note Before You Shop

The Harrier EV is built on Tata's dedicated EV platform, which affects dimensions, weight distribution, and exterior contours — especially around the front fascia, underbody, and rear bumper. As a result, many accessories marketed for the ICE Harrier may not fit the EV version without modifications. Always verify whether an accessory is labelled explicitly for the Harrier EV (2025 onwards).

1. 3D Floor Mats (Must-Have, Day One)

This is the single most practical purchase for any car owner in India — more so for a premium EV. Monsoon mud, dust from Jharkhand highways, and everyday debris will destroy the OEM carpet quickly. Go for custom-fit 7D or 3D TPE mats that are raised at the edges to contain spills. These are available from aftermarket brands like Galio India and are far better than the generic mats at the dealership. Price range: Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 for a full set. Worth every rupee.

2. Dashcam (DVR)

For video recording, you can choose a dual camera that comes with a 2-inch display and a 1080P Full HD lens, or go with a more advanced 2-way version. These DVRs range from around Rs 9,599 up to Rs 27,999 in Tata's own official accessory catalog. Given how chaotic Indian roads can be — and how expensive this car is — a front-and-rear dashcam is practically insurance. The dual-channel options with night vision and loop recording are the sweet spot for most owners.

3. Touchscreen & Instrument Cluster Screen Guards

The Harrier EV comes with a large cinematic touchscreen infotainment system. Screen guards are priced between Rs 2,999 and Rs 4,999 as official accessories. Fingerprints, scratches from daily tapping, and harsh sunlight glare are all real concerns. A tempered glass screen guard for the infotainment unit is a cheap way to protect an expensive component. Pick up one for the digital instrument cluster as well while you're at it.

4. Vehicle Tracking Device

A vehicle tracking device is available as an official Tata accessory for around Rs 6,599. For a car in this price bracket, a GPS tracker is common sense — not paranoia. It helps with theft recovery, trip monitoring, and even insurance benefits in some cases. Install it from an authorized dealer so it integrates cleanly without voiding any warranty.

5. Seat Covers (Vegan Leather or 3D Mesh)

The Harrier EV features premium synthetic leather or vegan fabric upholstery that can degrade under prolonged UV exposure or frequent use. A quality custom-fit seat cover in perforated leatherette or breathable 3D mesh protects the original upholstery, especially if you have kids, pets, or frequently do long road trips. Make sure any seat cover you choose is airbag-compatible — this is non-negotiable on a car with 6 or 7 airbags depending on the variant.

6. Door Edge Guard with Chrome

The door edge guard with chrome is priced at Rs 2,999 as an official accessory. Parking lot dings on door edges are one of the most common and frustrating damages on any car. This one is cheap, looks good, and prevents paint chipping at the edges — a no-brainer for everyday city use.

7. Logo Projector Lamp

The logo projector lamp is available for Rs 3,999. This is more of a personality accessory than a necessity, but it projects the Tata or Harrier logo onto the ground when you open the doors. It looks premium, impresses onlookers, and genuinely helps with visibility in dark parking areas. Great bang for the buck if you want a little flair.

8. Wireless Charger (If Not Already Equipped on Your Variant)

Tata offers a wireless charger as part of its miscellaneous accessories lineup. If your variant doesn't come with one built-in or you want a secondary charging pad, this is worth adding. Given that the Harrier EV's infotainment supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly, keeping your phone topped up on long drives makes the whole connected experience seamless.

9. Air Purifier

India's air quality is a genuine concern, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas. The base Adventure variant already comes with an Air Purifier with PM 2.5 filter. However, if your variant doesn't include it or you want an upgraded unit, aftermarket air purifiers that clip onto the AC vents are available for under Rs 2,000. For a family-oriented SUV that'll see school runs and highway stretches alike, this matters.

10. Seat Massager

A seat massager is listed among Tata's interior accessories. If you're doing regular long-distance drives — say Mumbai to Pune or Delhi to Chandigarh — a seat massager makes a noticeable difference on tired backs. It fits over the seat, plugs into the 12V socket, and is one of those things you'll wonder how you drove without once you try it.

11. Rescue Me Tool

The rescue me tool is priced at Rs 1,899 as an official safety accessory. This is a compact emergency device that typically combines a window breaker and seatbelt cutter — essential for escape in the event of an accident. For an EV where electrical faults are an added variable, this is a small price to pay for genuine peace of mind. Keep it clipped near the driver's seat.

12. Car Vacuum Cleaner and Care Kit

Tata's accessory catalog includes a car vacuum cleaner and a car care kit with pure wax and dry wash products. Keeping a premium EV clean is part of protecting its resale value. A cordless car vacuum is particularly handy after road trips and picnics. The wax kit helps maintain the paint's UV resistance, which matters more with lighter colors and metallic finishes under the Indian sun.

Accessories to Skip (For Now)

Aftermarket body kits and spoilers designed for the ICE Harrier are not verified fitments for the EV. Charging port covers and EV-specific breathable, static-free car covers are worth considering if you park outdoors. However, avoid cheap generic covers — they can trap moisture and scratch the paint over time.

Conclusion

The Tata Harrier EV is a significant investment. The right accessories don't just make it look better — they protect its value, improve safety, and make daily ownership more enjoyable. Start with the essentials: floor mats, dashcam, screen guard, and tracking device. Then layer in comfort upgrades like seat covers, a wireless charger, and the seat massager as your budget allows. Stick to official Tata accessories or reputed aftermarket brands with model-specific fitment guarantees, and you'll be in great shape for years to come.
