🔋 Range & Performance

The Curvv EV offers:

  • 45 kWh variant: 150 PS motor, 215 Nm torque; ARAI-certified range of 502 km, with real-world mileage around 350–400 km.
  • 55 kWh variant: 167 PS motor, same torque; ARAI-certified 585 km, typical usage around 425 km.

Acceleration is brisk—0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h.

Charging capability includes 70 kW DC fast charging, from 10 % to 80 % in approximately 40 minutes (150 km in ~15 minutes), and 7.2 kW AC charging taking roughly 7.9 hours.

🧩 Design & Features

Adopting a bold coupe‑SUV silhouette, the Curvv EV sports:

  • A sloping roofline, split LED DRLs, connected LED tail bar, flush door handles, and 18″ dual‑tone alloy wheels
  • Interior perks include a 10.25‑inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3‑inch floating touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, gesture‑enabled tailgate, touchscreen AC vents, wireless charging, and a JBL sound system with subwoofer

It also comes with V2L (vehicle‑to‑load) capability, enabling use of the car’s battery to power appliances—recently demonstrated powering a 1 hp water pump in rural India.

✅ Safety & Warranty

The Curvv EV has achieved five‑star Bharat NCAP ratings in both Adult and Child Occupant Protection tests—AOP 30.81/32, COP 44.83/49—just like its ICE sibling.

Tata Motors also announced a lifetime battery warranty for first owners of the Curvv EV and Nexon EV 45 kWh variants, ensuring peace‑of‑mind ownership with unlimited kilometres coverage.

👀 First Impressions

Early reviewers and auto‑enthusiasts praise the Curvv EV as a Nexon EV on steroids: sharper styling, bigger battery, better acceleration, and a more premium appeal. One enthusiast noted it “feels like a Nexon EV with more range, more performance and less space”. Others highlighted its excellent value proposition in the ₹17.5–22 lakh range, loaded with advanced features and driver assistance tech.

Conclusion

The Tata Curvv EV stakes out a unique position in India’s EV landscape. With aggressive pricing, class‑leading range, bold coupe‑SUV design, fast charging, V2L utility, and a strong safety and warranty package, it aims to make EV ownership aspirational and practical. While space may be tighter than in boxier SUVs, the performance, tech and real‑world usability give it a compelling edge. In short, the Curvv EV is a statement of intent from Tata and a strong case for India’s EV future.
