Ducati, the legendary Italian motorcycle manufacturer, has launched its much-awaited Multistrada V2 in the Indian market, aimed at premium touring enthusiasts. With its blend of Italian design, top-notch technology, and rider-friendly ergonomics, the Multistrada V2 is crafted to deliver comfort, power, and versatility on both highways and rough terrains.
Bold Design for the Road Ahead
The Ducati Multistrada V2 stays true to the Multistrada DNA with its aggressive beak-style front, signature LED headlamps, and a tall adjustable windscreen that provides excellent wind protection during long rides. Its sculpted fuel tank, muscular stance, and sharp bodywork give it a strong road presence. The bike looks both sporty and refined, making it suitable for long-distance touring as well as everyday rides in the city.
Refined Power and Touring Performance
Powering the Multistrada V2 is Ducati’s tried and tested 937cc Testastretta 11° L-twin engine, which delivers 111.3 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. This engine is smooth, responsive, and tuned perfectly for touring. It's paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes with Ducati Quick Shift for clutchless gear changes—making city traffic and highway overtakes effortless.
The bike offers a strong mid-range, perfect for highway cruising or mountain twisties, while retaining enough agility to maneuver through urban streets.
Rider Comfort and Ergonomics
Ducati has made several improvements in the Multistrada V2’s ergonomics. The seat height is 830 mm, and the kerb weight is now 222 kg, making it accessible to a wider range of riders. The revised seat design and footpeg positioning ensure less fatigue on long journeys. Add to that a generous 20-litre fuel tank, and you’ve got a machine built for adventure.
Tech-Loaded Tourer
The Ducati Multistrada V2 is loaded with advanced features, including:
- Ride Modes – Sport, Touring, Urban, and Enduro
- Ducati Traction Control (DTC)
- Cornering ABS
- Ducati Vehicle Hold Control (VHC)
- 5-inch TFT Color Display
- Full LED Lighting with DRLs
- Cruise Control and Hands-Free Ignition (in S variant)
The S variant of the bike also gets Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO – an electronically controlled suspension system that adjusts in real time for optimal ride comfort, depending on road conditions and riding style.
Price and Variants in India
The Ducati Multistrada V2 is available in two variants in India:
- Standard Variant – ₹16.35 lakh (ex-showroom)
- S Variant – ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
Color options include Ducati Red and Street Grey (S variant only), giving buyers some choice in personalization.
Competition and Segment Position
In the Indian market, the Multistrada V2 competes with the likes of the Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F 900 XR, and Honda Africa Twin. However, Ducati brings a unique mix of luxury, ride quality, and brand legacy to the segment, which could make it a preferred choice among touring enthusiasts looking for something premium and reliable.
The Ducati Multistrada V2 brings together Italian styling, comfortable ergonomics, powerful performance, and smart touring features—all in one compelling package. Whether you're planning a ride across the Himalayas or cruising the coastal highways, the Multistrada V2 is built to deliver a premium touring experience every time you hit the road.
