Toyota Innova Hycross 2025: Features, Price, Mileage & Updates

The Toyota Innova has been the heart of Indian family travel for over two decades. In 2022, Toyota redefined the MPV category with the launch of the Innova Hycross, blending SUV styling, hybrid efficiency, and modern luxury. In 2025, it continues to win hearts across India.

Bold SUV Styling Meets Premium Design

The Hycross breaks away from the traditional MPV look. It adopts a bold SUV-inspired design, with a large hexagonal grille, sharp LED headlamps, and muscular wheel arches. Its longer 2,850 mm wheelbase makes it feel more planted and spacious on Indian roads.

Thanks to the TNGA-C monocoque platform, it drives more like a sedan than a bulky MPV. This makes it better suited for both city use and highway cruising—something Indian buyers increasingly demand.

Cabin Comfort and Features that Impress

Step inside, and it feels nothing like the old Innova. The Hycross offers:

  • A large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Premium ventilated seats, leather upholstery
  • Panoramic sunroof (a first for an Innova)
  • Powered captain seats with reclining leg rest
  • ADAS safety features: lane assist, blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control

The interior is designed for families who expect both comfort and connected tech.

Hybrid Mileage: A Game Changer for India

The biggest highlight? Toyota’s 2.0L strong hybrid powertrain. It combines petrol and electric power to deliver:

  • 183 bhp of combined output
  • Up to 23.24 km/l fuel efficiency (ARAI)
This makes it one of the most fuel-efficient MPVs in the country, a huge plus for Indian buyers facing rising petrol prices.

There’s also a 2.0L non-hybrid petrol CVT option, offering around 16 km/l for those who want a more traditional drive.

Sales Success & Waiting Periods

The Innova Hycross has seen tremendous response. Toyota has already crossed 1 lakh units in India, with sales continuing strong into mid-2025. In April alone, nearly 7,700 units were sold—proving it’s not just a hit, but a segment leader.

However, popularity has led to waiting periods of 6–9 months, especially for hybrid variants. Toyota is working to localize parts and scale production to reduce delays.
