MINI India has officially launched the Countryman E John Cooper Works (JCW) Pack at ₹62 lakh (ex-showroom), on June 6, 2025, as a limited-edition electric SUV offering. With just 20 units available for the entire country, this luxury EV makes a bold entry into India’s premium electric vehicle market.
Built for the Niche, Launched for the Passionate
MINI has always held a cult following in India, appealing to those who want something distinctive, compact yet luxurious. Now, with this EV iteration wrapped in the iconic JCW styling, the brand is targeting urban elites and enthusiasts who desire electric efficiency with sporty design language.
The JCW Pack, while not altering the powertrain, adds sportier design elements, premium interiors, and exclusivity—something Indian buyers increasingly value in luxury purchases.
Electric Power with Urban Practicality
Under the hood—or rather beneath the floor—lies a 66.45 kWh battery pack powering a single electric motor that delivers:
- 204 bhp of power
- 250 Nm of torque
- 0–100 km/h in under 8.6 seconds
- A certified WLTP range of 462 km
Perfect for Indian city commutes and occasional weekend getaways, this MINI balances style with substance. It supports 130 kW DC fast charging, topping up from 10–80% in just 29 minutes. On a regular 11 kW AC charger, it takes around 6.4 hours to fully charge—ideal for overnight charging at home.
What’s Special About the JCW Pack?
The John Cooper Works (JCW) branding is MINI’s motorsport-inspired badge, synonymous with performance aesthetics. While this electric version doesn’t add power boosts, it does include:
- Sportier bumpers and JCW-specific grille
- Midnight Black and Legend Grey color options
- 18-inch black alloy wheels
- JCW badging across the interior and exterior
- Panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon sound system
- Red-accented sports seats, custom JCW steering wheel
- A slick 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen
The result? A MINI that doesn’t just whisper “eco-conscious,” but shouts “exclusive and exciting.”
Limited Edition, Premium Price
With only 20 units available, MINI India is offering the JCW E Pack strictly via its CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. The ₹62 lakh price tag may appear steep, but it’s par for the course in India's niche luxury EV space where exclusivity, design, and global appeal are the key selling points.
Deliveries are set to begin from June 10, 2025, and interested buyers can book via the Mini India online store or through authorized dealerships by paying a ₹1.5 lakh token amount.
Who Is It For?
This isn’t the EV for the average commuter or the cost-conscious buyer. This is for:
- Style-driven professionals
- EV collectors
- Celebrities or creators who value rare imports
- Urban elites looking to stand out in a Tesla-dominated narrative
The EV Space in India Just Got More Stylish
With brands like Tata, BYD, and Hyundai dominating electric car headlines, MINI brings something refreshing—a luxury lifestyle EV with design heritage and bold personality. While most electric cars talk about range and cost savings, this MINI speaks to the soul.
The Mini Countryman E JCW Pack is a statement vehicle. At ₹62 lakh, it’s not for everyone—but it doesn’t want to be. For the few who get it, this MINI offers an unmatched blend of heritage, electric performance, and motorsport-inspired charisma.
If you're looking for a compact, premium EV that’s rare, exclusive, and dripping with character—this MINI might just be your next big splurge.
