Mahindra & Mahindra, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, is gearing up for an electric revolution. With growing awareness about clean energy and the rising popularity of electric vehicles (EVs), Mahindra is ready to introduce a fresh lineup of electric SUVs in 2025. The company has already showcased its future-ready EV plans under the “Born Electric” and XUV.e brands, and now, the wait for launch is almost over.
If you're planning to buy an EV in 2025, Mahindra will be one of the top Indian brands to watch. Here’s a look at the upcoming Mahindra electric cars launching in 2025:
1. Mahindra XUV.e8 (Electric XUV700)
Expected Launch: December 2024 to Early 2025
Mahindra’s first premium electric SUV will be the XUV.e8, based on the popular XUV700. This EV version will come with a bold new design, including a closed grille, LED light bar, and futuristic interiors. Built on Mahindra’s new INGLO platform, the XUV.e8 is expected to offer a driving range of 450–500 km on a single charge.
It will be packed with features like ADAS, a large touchscreen system, multiple drive modes, and fast charging. The XUV.e8 is likely to be priced between ₹25 to ₹30 lakh and will compete with the Tata Harrier EV and MG ZS EV.
2. Mahindra XUV.e9 (SUV-Coupe EV)
Expected Launch: Mid to Late 2025
For buyers looking for something stylish and futuristic, the XUV.e9 will offer a sporty SUV-coupe design. It will share many features with the XUV.e8 but with a more aerodynamic body and coupe-like roofline.
The interiors are expected to be premium, with a full-width triple-screen dashboard and sustainable materials. The XUV.e9 will likely offer similar battery and motor specs as the e8, with around 300–350 bhp and 500+ km range.
This EV will be aimed at urban buyers who want luxury, space, and green mobility in one package.
3. Mahindra BE.05
Expected Launch: October 2025
The BE.05 is one of Mahindra’s most exciting upcoming cars. This all-new EV is a bold, futuristic SUV designed from scratch as an electric vehicle—not just a conversion from a petrol model. It features sharp lines, LED DRLs, a floating roof, and a strong, aggressive stance.
On the inside, it will have a digital cockpit, connected features, and a driver-focused cabin. With performance in mind, the BE.05 is expected to be a sportier EV with dual-motor AWD options, making it fun to drive.
Targeted at young, tech-savvy urban buyers, this EV could be priced around ₹20–25 lakh.
4. Mahindra BE.07
Expected Launch: Late 2025
Positioned as a more family-oriented SUV, the BE.07 will be bigger and more spacious than the BE.05. With a strong road presence and futuristic styling, it will appeal to those looking for comfort and long-distance usability.
It will come with a bigger battery pack and offer a range of up to 600 km, making it ideal for highway cruising. The cabin will likely offer three rows of seating, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and advanced safety systems.
Expect a price tag of ₹30–35 lakh, placing it in competition with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BYD Seal SUV.
Mahindra’s Electric Vision for India
Mahindra’s electric vehicles will be based on its new INGLO platform, developed with help from Volkswagen’s MEB platform technology. This platform will allow fast charging (up to 175 kW), advanced battery management systems, and high performance—all designed with Indian roads and weather in mind.
Moreover, Mahindra plans to build a strong EV ecosystem with charging support, software updates, and connected car services through its BlueSense+ app.
2025 will be a turning point for Mahindra as it enters the electric era with a powerful lineup of stylish, practical, and high-tech SUVs. From the smart XUV.e8 to the bold BE.05, Mahindra is clearly focused on offering Indian buyers a world-class EV experience. If you’re thinking of going electric, Mahindra’s upcoming cars offer a made-in-India solution with global appeal.
