On-road price of the Tata Aeris
Ex-showroom is not what you pay. Pick your state and trim to see the road tax, insurance and charges on top — the tax alone differs by more than a lakh between states on the same car.
Pre-filled at about 3.5% of ex-showroom, which is typical for a first-year comprehensive policy. Your actual quote depends on cover, add-ons and the insurer — change it if you have a real quote.

Where it sits in the range
It sits in the upper half of a 18-trim range, above the volume trims but below the range-topper.
This is a manual trim. It is the cheaper of the two gearboxes and, in most ranges, the more efficient one on paper.
Running on CNG
This is a factory-fitted CNG trim, so the kit is covered by the manufacturer warranty rather than a retro-fit. Running cost per kilometre is substantially lower than petrol, the trade-off being boot space taken by the cylinder and a filling network that is still uneven outside the larger cities. It makes sense above roughly 1,200 km a month.
Before you book
The price above is ex-showroom. Registration, insurance and dealer-level charges are extra, and they vary by state and by dealer, so ask for the full on-road quotation in writing. Specifications and prices change without notice — confirm the current figures with your authorised Tata dealer before booking.
