Suzuki has officially pulled the wraps off its latest electric scooter, the e-Access, at the Auto Expo 2025. Marking a bold new chapter in the brand’s electric mobility journey, the e-Access is a modern reinterpretation of Suzuki’s popular Access lineup, now designed for the EV generation. It brings together futuristic styling, practical performance, and connected technology, all packed into a compact urban commuter.
Futuristic Design with Dual-Tone Appeal
The Suzuki e-Access sports a clean and minimalist design language, characterized by sharp bodywork, a compact silhouette, and aerodynamic lines. Adding to its appeal are three striking dual-tone colour options:
- Metallic Mat Black No. 2 / Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red
- Pearl Grace White / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray
- Pearl Jade Green / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray
These combinations are aimed at capturing the attention of younger, style-conscious buyers who are looking for an eco-friendly two-wheeler without compromising on aesthetics.
Performance and Battery
At the heart of the e-Access is a 4.1 kW electric motor producing a healthy 15 Nm of torque, offering quick acceleration ideal for city rides. The scooter comes equipped with a 3.07 kWh fixed battery pack, delivering a claimed range of 95 km on a single charge. Its top speed is rated at 71 kmph, placing it in the premium electric scooter segment.
Charging options for the e-Access have been designed to accommodate different user needs. A standard portable charger takes 6 hours and 42 minutes to fully charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent. However, with a fast charger, this time drops significantly to just 2 hours and 12 minutes—a significant convenience for busy urban users.
Tech-Savvy and Feature-Rich
Suzuki has packed the e-Access with modern features to enhance both functionality and rider experience. The scooter gets a full LED lighting setup and a sleek TFT digital display that provides real-time information such as speed, odometer, range, trip meter, and battery status. Riders can also connect their smartphones via the Suzuki Ride Connect E-app, enabling turn-by-turn navigation and live traffic alerts.
Additional features include a keyless start system and three ride modes—Eco, Ride A, and Ride B—allowing users to customize the riding experience based on efficiency or performance.
Chassis and Handling
The e-Access rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, fitted with 90-section tubeless tyres at both ends. This setup, paired with a low center of gravity and electric drivetrain, is expected to offer a smooth and agile riding experience, especially suited for urban conditions.
Expected Launch and Price
Suzuki has confirmed that the e-Access is slated for launch in June 2025, with deliveries expected shortly thereafter. The scooter is likely to be priced between ₹1.20 lakh and ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it squarely in the premium urban EV category.
The e-Access will go head-to-head with some of the biggest names in the electric scooter segment in India, including the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, Ola S1 Air, and the soon-to-launch Honda Activa e: and Vida V2. With its clean styling, robust tech package, and Suzuki's brand reliability, the e-Access is expected to be a strong contender in India’s evolving EV market.
